Epic - Kids' Books & Reading App Reviews

Overall, we love this app! I feel its well worth the monthly subscription fee because we have struggled finding books my son would enjoy reading. Now he happily does his daily reading without a fight because he can easily choose books that interest him. I can check his log through the parent profile and see the duration for which he read. Fantastic! However, I find that there are not many books for my beginning reader to read independently. She needs the See Jane type of books and Im just not finding them on this app. There are great books for me to read to her but not vice versa. Thats the only downside Ive found with this app beyond it crashing frequently enough to be annoying but not a deal breaker.

There is no cancel button in the start your free month that one I do not want to buy for membership please help which this btw this is an Apple iOS mini 3

I just wasted 5 dollars on my free trial period, how can I get my money back? Theres no way in the app that I can. Please help!!! I want my money back. All I wanted was the free month trial.

There is no good books on this app.

My kids and I are writing this review to tell you how much they love reading and listening to all the stories on here!

Can you imagine, as a parent, or grandparent, having thousands of delightful, interesting, age appropriate books at your fingertips every single day - or night? Wouldnt it be nice not to keep buying books that they may or may not enjoy, may read once and or outgrow in a month? How about not having shelves and shelves of unused books? For all of those reasons, this is the best childrens app ever! You can customize it to your childs interest and reading level so as your childs reading abilities improve, there is still an endless supply of wonderful books available! There is a subscription fee of $3.99 a month but it is worth every penny!

This was misleading. There is a free first month and then $5/month thereafter. Not exactly a library. More like a discounted bookstore. Im just annoyed because I was excited about this app but dont want yet another subscription to pay for.

My son & I love to read new books. Instead of buying them & my son getting bored with the same old books, we get to choose from lots of different & new books all the time! Worth the monthly subscription!!

Before using Epic I would buy eBooks to read to my nephews (3 and 5) on my iPad. This is such a money saver, and a great app! Now we read all kinds of different books.

You must pay 5 dollars for one month and only one month is free. Just why would you do this dont get this app unless you want to pay 60 bucks a year.this is

My favorite thing is too read books with my daughter but when when we first downloaded it. I wasnt able to get off the subscription page. All they talked about was how you have to use this payment method.

I got the app and there was this sign that said free membership for one month but I didnt want it but there was no x to get out so I deleted this terrible app!!!!

Epic, please change your UX so that users can view your catalog before making a decision to buy. The "free month trial" has an auto-rebill, so it isnt free. I want to be able to see your catalog before I make a decision of spending money with you.

I guess this is an alright app if you have limited access to books or a tablet with wifi, but not that fantastic if you do. I found it difficult to cancel my subscription, as well.

I absolutely love this app. My daughter gets lost in all the books that are available. She gets excited whenever something comes along. 5 dollars a month is definitely worth it.

What’s great about this service is not only are there a ton of good non-fiction kids books but each profile let’s you track their progress in a reading log. We print it out and show the teacher. Saves us the hassle of writing down every books she’s read and tracking the time. Love Epic!

This is a ok App. Tons of books you should get This app

This app was great. I say "was" because ever since the update, the app crashes when I try to open it. Please fix the issue soon!

All goosebumps books are only in audiobook.to all the goosebumps fans out there,GO TO THE LIBRARY!!!!!!!!!!!
